A Zine (pronounced ZEEN) is a non-professional, often non-commercial publication used for personal expression. Zines are created out of interest, passion, and a desire to share ideas.
In this hands-on DIY Zine workshop, you’ll explore the world of small press and self-publishing. Students will have access to a variety of materials—including collage, pencils, markers, and more—to design and craft their own zines. Techniques covered include folding, cutting, planning, and printing.
The workshop concludes with a zine exchange, allowing all participants to leave with a fresh collection of handmade mini-publications. This class is perfect for beginners, artists, writers, and anyone curious about creative expression and self-publishing.
